The Franconian Switzerland with its numerous tourism offers can be quickly reached via the A9. And Bayreuth, with its World Heritage opera house and, of course, the festivals, draws many visitors.

Bad Berneck provides very good infrastructure for a town of its size: there is a kindergarten, primary and secondary schools, healthcare services, senior living and retirement residences as well as shops and supermarkets to cover daily needs. Pubs, restaurants of various nationalities, hotels, and cafés further enrich the local offer.
A high school and university in nearby Bayreuth are accessible by bus (bus stop 200 m away).
The federal motorway A9 (Munich-Berlin) can be reached conveniently in five minutes by car, and the Bayreuth central area in 10–15 minutes by car.
