All ancillary costs are charged at a flat rate; electricity is included up to 75 euros, and any usage beyond that is to be paid separately).
⇒ The broadcasting fee (Rundfunkbeitrag GEZ) of 17 euros per month must be registered and paid by the tenant, as it is not included in the flat-rate rent. Landlords are not allowed to cover this fee when renting out an entire apartment.
