The house was built in 2013 as a KFW-70 house by the company Elbe-Haus. It is a low-energy house with a porous concrete exterior wall and an external thermal insulation composite system (WDVS). Underfloor heating has been installed throughout and is heated by an air-water heat pump from the company Thermia. There is also the option to use a wood-burning stove for heating.

Currently, the house is divided into 2 apartments (approximately 60 m² and 90 m²) with two separate entrances and separate electricity meters. The unique aspect is that they can be connected into one apartment through a new internal staircase. The opening in the solid ceiling is already in place.

It is quietly located in a small cul-de-sac street in the Schönningstedt district, with good access to public transportation, and the Reinbek centre is reachable in 5 minutes.

The ground floor apartment comprises two rooms, a kitchen, a shower room with a bath, a sauna, and a large terrace.

The first floor apartment is accessed via an outdoor staircase. It features four rooms, a kitchen, a full bathroom, a wood-burning stove, and a large balcony overlooking the Sachsenwald forest. The upper apartment spans two floors. Both the railings (of the outdoor staircase and balcony) and the supporting structure of the balcony are made of larch wood.

In the garden, there is a garden house, a rainwater collection barrel embedded in the ground with a capacity of 2 m³, various fruit trees, and flowers.
