The city of Fürth is located in the Bavarian Middle Franconia and, together with Nuremberg and Erlangen, forms part of the economically strong Nuremberg metropolitan region. With over 132,000 residents, it is the second largest city in the administrative district. Particularly striking is the charming old town center, which, in contrast to many other cities, largely survived World War II unscathed and is now a popular destination for walks and cultural discoveries.
