The History: Roots Going Back to the 16th Century
This half-timbered house is far more than a monument – it is a witness to Hilden’s urban history. It was built on the massive foundations of the original Servatiushof, whose origins date back to the 16th century.
The Servatiushof: Named after Saint Servatius. Such courtyards were often the cradle of agricultural and social development in old Hilden.
Architecture: The building is under monument protection. The combination of historic oak half-timbering and the rubble stone foundations of the predecessor building endows the rooms with an incomparable atmosphere and a special air of permanence.
The Location: Between Urbanity and Nature
The address Elberfelder Straße 44 marks the transition from the vibrant city life to Hilden’s green lung.
City Connection: Only about a 450-meter walk separates you from Kirchplatz at the beginning of the pedestrian zone, continuing to the Old Market and the city park.
The Itterbach Riverbank: While the front of the house is integrated into the urban environment with its buzzing commercial life, the rear opens up to the Itterbach. The soothing flow of water and the private garden offer a retreat – a rarity in such a central location.
The Technology: Sustainability Meets Tradition
A historic house with the energy efficiency of the future. We have modernized the building carefully yet consistently:
• Air-to-water heat pump: The house is heated in a CO₂-efficient and highly effective manner. You live in a listed building without the typical energy drawbacks of an old structure. Solar thermal electricity from your own PV system!
• Miele Excellence: The outfitting of the communal areas follows the principle “Always better.” Miele and Liebherr appliances guarantee reliability and ease of use at the highest level.
• E-mobility: Parking space with a wallbox so you can charge your car whenever you want... a PV system is available.
Unfortunately, pets are not permitted.
Future tenants are expected to provide a positive credit report. Also required is the submission of the fully completed tenant questionnaire.
