The little house by the historic bell tower in Krams is available for rent as a second home or temporary living space – located in the most beautiful landscape in the world: the Prignitz.

Do you sometimes need some time all to yourself, a retreat where you can come and go at your leisure? Or are you a couple in need of time together? Maybe you’d like to take an extended break with your child? Or, as a knowledge worker, do you want the most beautiful home office in the green countryside?

Do you wish to escape the hustle and bustle of the city, take quiet walks, and just unwind? Listen to the birds, pet the Kamerunschafe, or sit on the terrace or by the campfire? And still have Wi‑Fi available when you want—or need—to work?

Then you’re in the right place. Come to the Prignitz, to Krams. Just one and a half hours from Berlin.

The risk: You might never want to leave. We felt exactly the same way, which is why we now live here—almost right next to this little holiday home. We’re here if any problems arise.

• About the House at the Bell Tower:

 A quaint little house, built around 1920 and renovated in 2023/2024. One large room featuring a double bed and a separate sofa bed, with a desk and, upon request, even a monitor. A small kitchen equipped with a refrigerator, dishwasher, stovetop, grill, and microwave. A bathroom with a toilet, shower, and washer-dryer. A terrace with a fire pit and gas grill. Wi‑Fi and 5G are available everywhere.

• And the Bell Tower Is Included, Too.

 It is now only rung a few times a year—at Easter, Pentecost, Christmas, and New Year’s Eve. As a tenant, you are warmly invited to ring it and may even ring it yourself!

• And the Kamerunschafe Are Also Part of the Deal!

 Across the property live our four charming Kamerunschafe: Bärbel, Hildegard, Rosinchen, and Paulinchen. They are more than welcome to be fed and petted. Of course, they won’t be slaughtered—so the sheep will still be there when you come back someday.

• The Rental Price of the House:

 500 euros cold rent per month, plus only the costs for electricity and water based on consumption. The minimum rental duration is three months. The contract term can be discussed individually (see below).

• Who Is the House Suitable For?

 The house is suitable for one to two people—especially singles or a single parent with a small child. It is also ideal for an individual (even one with a cat or dog). Couples are welcome too, if one room is sufficient.

• What Usage Possibilities Are Thinkable?

 Spend your spring or summer in the countryside – or the autumn, winter, or all seasons together. A summer house for all year round: the house is winterproof and well insulated. Experience a very quiet little village, unwind, relax, write a new book or your master’s thesis. Or simply do nothing, take long walks, read a lot, have time, and truly unwind.

• How Is the Contract Arranged?

 The minimum rental duration is three months. There are various options for temporary living: a fixed term without an extension possibility, a fixed term with an extension option, or an open-ended contract with a three‑month notice period. Everything can be arranged individually—just let us know your ideas!

• Pets Are Welcome!

 By arrangement, one or two dogs or cats are also very welcome.

 You can shop in Kyritz, Pritzwalk, Perleberg, and Glöwen, each about 15–20 minutes away by car. Good cafés and restaurants can be found in Kyritz, Pritzwalk, Perleberg, and Wittenberge. Swimming spots are reachable by car in 20–25 minutes, including Nitzow on the Havel and the Kyritz Untersee.

• Cinema, Concerts, Culture:

 Cinemas are available in Pritzwalk, Perleberg, and Wittenberge. Concerts—from rock to classical—take place in Pritzwalk, Perleberg, Wittenberge, Groß Pankow, Neustadt/Dosse, and Neuruppin. Every year, events like "Dorf macht Oper" in Klein Leppin and "Shakespeare in Krams" in Krams are legendary.

The house is fully furnished. It also includes a small kitchen with a refrigerator, dishwasher, stovetop, grill, and microwave; a bathroom with a toilet, shower, and washer-dryer; a terrace with a fire pit and gas grill; and Wi‑Fi throughout. Bicycles are also available.

Viewings are by appointment. The house is suitable for one to two people, exclusively for self-use. No subletting or transferring to third parties is permitted. The interior of the house is a non‑smoking zone, although smoking is allowed in the garden and on the terrace. Please note: The house cannot be used as a primary residence, so it is not suitable for those seeking a primary home. The house will be available again from April 1, 2026.
