The area to be developed is located in the locality of Dornumergrode/Dornumersiel in the municipality of Dornum on the East Frisian North Sea coast. In secondary relation to the existing development, convenient access to Ondelweg is provided via a municipal road (Münsterpolderweg) branching off to the state road. At the same time, there is a spatial separation from the main road located to the south due to the existing residential houses. On the northern side lies the adjacent landscape protection area in the rural zone. Future development here is practically ruled out.
The World Heritage Site of the Wadden Sea is 1 km away as the crow flies, the coastal seaside resorts of Dornumersiel about 3 km away, Nessmersiel with a ferry connection to the island of Baltrum about 6 km away, Bensersiel with a ferry connection to the island of Langeoog about 9 km away, and the attraction Dornum about 3 km away.
