Aschersleben ist eine Stadt am Nordostrand des Harzes im Tal der Eine in Sachsen-Anhalt. Sie ist die drittgrößte Stadt des Salzlandkreises und die älteste urkundlich erwähnte Stadt in Sachsen-Anhalt. Aufgrund der geografischen Lage wird Aschersleben auch als das „Tor zum Harz“ bezeichnet.

Aschersleben je město na severovýchodním okraji Harzu v údolí Eine v Sasku-Anhaltsku. Je to třetí největší město okresu Salzland a nejstarší město zmíněné v písemných pramenech v Sasku-Anhaltsku. Díky své geografické poloze je Aschersleben také nazýváno „bránou do Harzu“.
