With two Deutsche Bahn AG train stations in the Weilerswist and Derkum districts, there are excellent connections in all directions at half-hour intervals—with the Eifel-Bahn running from Cologne via Euskirchen to Trier and the Voreifel-Bahn running from Euskirchen to Bonn or Bad Münstereifel.
There are direct bus connections to Euskirchen (from where you can also reach Bonn), Brühl, and Swisttal-Heimerzheim.
