In addition to your apartment, a large common room on the ground floor is available for you for parties, events, and coffee gatherings. At the entrance there is a care office.

Behind your terrace, a small private garden area awaits you, enclosed by a beech hedge. In a raised bed, you can plant something if you wish, but you don’t have to—both the hedge and the lawn will be mowed for you. This way you still have a small, intimate outdoor space to yourself.

In addition to the preferred location and a short connection to the city center, this new residential area offers a beautifully landscaped park with quiet oases to relax in. Furthermore, the varied and popular residential area features shops and cafés in the immediate vicinity.

All living areas are equipped with parquet floors and wide interior doors. Large windows with electric shutters create bright rooms with a pleasant view outside. A controlled ventilation system in every apartment ensures fresh air and, together with the underfloor heating, keeps heating costs low. The entire complex is being built as a KfW Efficiency House 70 (according to EnEV 2009). The bathrooms feature spacious barrier-free showers and provide room for a washing machine and dryer.

All apartments are designed to be senior-friendly and thus enable step-free and barrier-free living.

In our assisted living complex in Sheridan Park, the “AWONIA Gesellschaft für Wohnen und Pflege im Alter mbH” will take over the care of the residents. AWO is a recognized non-profit organization and operates, as a subsidiary of Arbeiterwohlfahrt, the senior center “Christian-Dierig-Haus” in Kirchbergstraße in Augsburg-Pfersee. This allows the existing resources for all residents to be optimally utilized. In our project, AWO also runs a centrally located care office that is staffed at fixed times. A qualified permanent contact person with social care training will be happy to assist you with advice and practical help.

Within the framework of the basic services and the monthly care flat rate, the care provider supports you, for example, by 24-hour emergency readiness; a fixed point of contact with fixed visiting hours in the building; assistance with bureaucratic matters; mediation and organization of services (for example, podiatry, physiotherapy, hairdresser, laundry, apartment cleaning, shopping, medication, etc.); apartment key safekeeping; and organization of help in case of illness and upon discharge from the hospital. The monthly care flat rate for a one-person household is 112 €. This flat rate includes on-call service and the in-house emergency call system including equipment rental.

The care service also includes the mediation, coordination, and scheduling of the following optional services offered by AWO:

– In-home nursing and elderly care

– Administration of medication

– Household support

– Securing a day care place at the Christian-Dierig-Haus

AWO ensures that all owners and tenants of our assisted living complex receive preferential admission to inpatient care at the “Christian-Dierig-Haus” nursing home in Augsburg-Pfersee on Kirchbergstraße.
