"Hof Kranichmoor" is a former estate farm, built in 1952, which over the past 35 years has been elaborately and lovingly renovated in an ecological manner, redesigned, and expanded. It is located on the edge of the village Neuhorst, in immediate proximity to a crane breeding area. The property covers a total area of 15,000 square meters. The farm is being sold due to the owner's advancing age.

At the heart of the farm is a seminar and guest house that can accommodate up to 15 people. In addition to the spacious seminar room (70 sqm) with its larch floor and a cozy masonry heater, there are five rooms, two bathrooms, and a generous gallery on the first and second floors. The house has been fully booked for years. Groups and seminars value the special atmosphere of this place with its park-like meadows, ponds, gardens, and abundant tree population. It invites visitors to relax, meditate, and engage in therapeutic and artistic work. A meadow labyrinth, a sweat lodge, a sheep pasture, a chicken farm, and two construction trailers are part of the ensemble.

Almost all of the buildings are clustered around an attractive inner courtyard. In addition to the seminar and guest house, there are three residential buildings with 195 – 235 sqm of living space, which we currently occupy ourselves (three households), and four separate apartments with 35 – 110 sqm, which we presently use as holiday apartments or as a complement to the seminar house operation. Furthermore, there are two fully functional carpentry workshops, an auto repair shop with a lift, a large barn, and a hall with potential for further expansion on the property. All buildings and apartments are connected to two recently modernized central heating systems (pellets/firewood and gas/heat pump). Three photovoltaic systems with storage supply the houses with their own electricity. In all residential buildings, there are large base stoves and tiled stoves, and the firewood is stored in three separate sheds. Two carports along with additional parking spaces offer room for approximately 15 vehicles.

The architecture and interior finishes of the seminar house, the residential buildings, and the apartments are characterized by thoughtful and generous design, a keen attention to unique details, and an artistic fundamental approach. Much of the work was produced in our own workshops.

The farm is an ideal location for a residential or community living arrangement. Continuing the operation of the seminar house offers the possibility to take over our extensive customer base.

"Hof Kranichmoor" is situated in the midst of the Lauenburgische Seen Nature Park in a typical terminal moraine landscape. Its forests, lakes, bogs, meadows, and fields form a harmonious, gently rolling landscape ensemble with a rich variety of wildlife and plant species. "Neuhorst am Wall" is part of the municipality of Horst, established in the 1950s on the lands of the Althorst estate, with 206 inhabitants, and is characterized by agriculture. The surrounding lakes, with their clear water and sandy, pine-lined shores, invite visitors to bathe, sail, and canoe. In only 20 minutes, our guests can reach one of the nearby forest lakes by bicycle. Within sight lies the "Oldenburger Wall," a Slavic ring rampart from the 7th century.

Not far away are the towns of Mölln and Ratzeburg, surrounded by various lakes and featuring charming historical town centers. Here you can obtain everything you need and have access to medical care, schools, administrative services, etc. Lübeck, Schwerin, and Hamburg are easily reachable by car (a maximum of 50 minutes), as well as by train. The Baltic Sea is also less than an hour away by car.

Culturally, the Lauenburg region now has quite a lot to offer. In Horst itself, the "Theater im Stall" provides over 70 seats and has won cultural awards, attracting even visitors from Hamburg. In the summer, there is the "Kultursommer am Kanal," in which various cultural creators participate with their works, workshops, studios, and gardens. Our farm has already taken part several times. A very similar event, "Villages Showcase Art," follows annually. There are various forums such as the "Salemer Dialog," in which local, regional, and broader societal topics are publicly debated. The influx of many city dwellers has significantly diversified life in the countryside, making it more varied and colorful. It is a gift to be able to live in this diverse landscape and nature and to take part in the vibrant cultural scene.
