Lindlar is a municipality in the western part of the Oberbergischer Kreis in North Rhine-Westphalia, located about 30 kilometers east of Cologne. The community, with approximately 22,000 inhabitants, stretches from Hohkeppel and Schmitzhöhe in the southwest to Hartegasse and Breun in the northeast. The main town of Lindlar has expanded continuously over the past decades. The area now extends from Falkenhof and Oberheiligenhoven in the west, through Altenlinde and Schwarzenbach in the north, Pinnappel and Weyer in the east, to Schümmerich and Altenrath in the south.
