All schools, government offices, sports and shopping facilities, as well as the promenade of Starnberg with its doctors, banks, boutiques, restaurants, bars, etc., in the city center, can be reached on foot in less than 10 minutes. Moreover, there are bike paths and a multitude of MVV bus connections in all directions.
It takes roughly 8 minutes on foot from the apartment to Starnberg station, located directly by the lake, where S-Bahn trains run every 20 minutes and regional trains operate on an hourly basis, and only 5 minutes to get to Starnberg’s commercial area or Nord station. Both by MVV and by car, one reaches downtown Munich in about half an hour.
And the notorious traffic jams on the B2 through Starnberg are not a problem either, because the direct route to the A99 motorway to/from Munich is just quietly around the corner.
During the renovation, all walls, floors, interior doors, door frames, radiators, the entire electrical system as well as the kitchen and bathroom including the sanitary installations were completely and most excellently renewed from A to Z. The windows had already been replaced earlier by modern insulated PVC windows.
The apartment has now been painted a brilliant white, and the walls, like in a new apartment, are neatly spackled. The bathroom is completely tiled in glossy white. The floors in the bathroom and kitchen have matte, sand-colored tiles, while the living room and hallway are fitted with a very lovely light oak laminate floor with white skirting boards.
In the bathroom, kitchen, and hallway, a suspended ceiling with LED spotlights provides delightfully bright light. The bathroom is adorned with a large LED-lit mirror and a designer towel radiator.
The also brand-new, high-quality fitted kitchen is designed in high-gloss white and equipped with Siemens built-in appliances: a ceramic hob, a convection oven, a dishwasher, as well as a refrigerator with freezer compartment. Additionally, the kitchen offers storage space in practical built-in cabinets and drawers.
The bathroom provides ample space and the connections for your own washing machine or a washer-dryer. In the spacious basement of the multi-family house, a Miele washing machine, a Miele dryer, and a large drying room are available for all residents to use.
My stepfather and I both lived independently in the apartment for years and always felt extremely comfortable there. The neighbors are all very nice people of various ages.
