The Federal Ministry of Construction is providing funds for interest subsidies on KfW promotional loans.

An effective interest rate of 1.51% applies with a term of 35 years and a fixed interest period of 10 years.

Eligible costs include the purchase price as well as land costs. The maximum loan amount depends on the number of minor children living in the household. For one child, up to 100,000 EUR can be applied for; for two children, up to 125,000 EUR; and for three or more children, up to 150,000 EUR. Loan terms range from 7 to 35 years, and the interest rate may be fixed for a maximum of 20 years depending on the term chosen. The "Young Buys Old" program can be combined with the KfW Home Ownership Program (www.kfw.de/124).
