Foundations laid on a firm soil layer with ring beam and concrete slab, the oak half-timbering was cleaned, partly renewed, and rebuilt, the thatched roof was re-covered, the interior masonry made of Ytong on the exterior walls was insulated, double-glazed mullioned windows were installed, oil and solid-fuel heating boilers were provided for underfloor heating on the ground floor and radiators on the upper floor (2 guest rooms and 2 bathrooms), an open fireplace in the hallway and a hot-water fireplace in the living room, sauna, plunge pool and shower in the sauna anteroom, and a country-style kitchen was installed. The upper floor was developed in 1985 with a large dormer on the east side and a smaller one on the west side.

The cripple hip roof with thatch has been regularly maintained by specialist companies and is therefore in good condition.

The house is located on its own woodland and is surrounded by a large garden (mostly lawn and rhododendron bushes) and a well with a small pond as well as several terraces. In addition, nearby the house there is a carport for two cars, a riding lawn mower and bicycles, a sheep barn, a chicken coop, an earth cellar (typical for the moor), a wood shed, and a 16 sqm wooden cabin. All of this is surrounded by old oaks, spruces, maples, beeches, and birches. The idyllic location guarantees relaxation and numerous recreational possibilities.
