- Very bright because there are several windows in every room, with shutters installed

- The bathroom (daylight bathroom) has also been renovated, including new ceramic fittings

- Having lived here myself for 10 years, I can honestly say that the apartment is really great – especially because of its transport connections, parking spot, and the fact that everything is renovated.

Looking for:

- 1–3 sympathetic, nice tenants; preferably students or a shared flat.

- There are 3 separate bedrooms, ideally for 3 people in a shared apartment. Moving in with more than 3 people is possible only by prior arrangement.

- Or a couple/a young family

- Move-in is possible from November 15, 2025.

- The apartment is located on the upper ground floor (ground floor, raised level) of an exclusively residential building with consistently pleasant residents.

Leisure:

Only a few minutes’ walk away is the Große Woog, a popular bathing lake and recreational area. In summer, the natural lake invites you to swim and sunbathe, while walkers and joggers can enjoy the expansive green spaces all year round. Similarly, the Botanical Garden, a tennis court, and a sports field are in the immediate vicinity.

You can also walk directly to the TU Lichtwiese or to the Herrngarten, or ride a bicycle. The location is so central that you can get anywhere quickly.

Location and surroundings:

- Transport connections and public transit: excellent. Nearby stops include Darmstadt Roßdörfer Platz, Darmstadt Mercksplatz, Darmstadt Jugendstilbad, Darmstadt Schulstraße, and the train station Darmstadt Ost.

- The parking situation is top-notch: your own parking spot, visitor parking, plus resident street parking.

- Great location and connections: bus and tram are nearby, with the city center about 3–6 minutes away.

- Local amenities such as Netto City, a bakery, Nahkauf, Rewe, restaurants, and cafés are all easily accessible.

- Especially if you work or study in Darmstadt and want to live in a nice area while still having quick access to everything, the location is perfect.

It is especially wonderful that the apartment is in a quiet area while remaining close enough to quickly get to the city center.

The bus and tram lines as well as Darmstadt Ost train station are quickly reachable.

The City Center Campus is not far away and is very well connected by public transport, as is the TU Darmstadt Lichtwiese campus.

Furnishings:

- The bathroom, kitchen, and hallway are completely furnished (see photos).

- Additional furniture visible in the photos can also remain in the apartment by agreement. Since I live here myself and am now moving to FFM for work, we can decide which pieces of furniture should stay. Everything is included in the rent, including the kitchen (no deposit payment required).

- All ceiling lights including LED bulbs are provided.

- Essentially, you would only need to furnish your own room according to your taste.

- If desired, furnishings can be removed as long as they are returned undamaged at the end of the lease.

IMPORTANT:

- Please contact exclusively through the portal. It is best to also provide a telephone number so I can reach out to you for appointments!

- For a student/professional shared flat, it would be advantageous if there are already 3 persons.

- Please send a short, friendly email with a description of yourself (whether you’re a student, family, couple, professional, etc.) so that we can arrange a viewing. If available, please include at least a brief description of your employer/job/study program. (I would only require concrete proof after the viewing and before signing the contract, but preliminary information is of course fine.)

- Mass emails with just two sentences such as “I need an apartment. I want to view it” unfortunately provide too little information. I have put a lot of effort into creating an adequate ad as a private landlord.

- A brief note about us: we rent out the property that is owned within our family by three people, and we are always the direct point of contact for our tenants.

- The building is characterized by a harmonious living environment; all other residents are orderly and courteous.

Other:

- The energy certificate is available for viewing.

- All operating costs are included except for gas, electricity, and internet usage, which must be arranged independently.

- Since there are other people living in the building, pet ownership is not desired. We would prefer non-smokers.

- Inquiries regarding short-term rentals are also possible (please mention this in your email). However, I would generally prefer a longer-term rental.

- Changes in tenants within a shared flat or subletting (for example, during stays abroad) are possible by arrangement.
