We are selling our agricultural land with development potential on Jägerweg in Rheda-Wiedenbrück. Below we outline the current planning process of the city of Rheda-Wiedenbrück.

Planning procedures in Rheda-Wiedenbrück:

2017:

An inquiry was made to the city of R-W to determine whether the agricultural land “W 1” could also be used as building land, as there is an urgent need for building land in Rheda. The response was positive, after which we acquired the area.

2018:

An establishment resolution was passed by the expert committee/council, stating that this area may be developed. The only open question was exactly how the development should be carried out.

Since 2018:

We have submitted all the necessary expert reports, plans, and supplements. Since then, NOTHING FURTHER HAS HAPPENED on the city’s part.

In 2017, our project was presented to the building authority and the planning department.

In 2024, the last meeting took place. Unfortunately, since then none of the seven responsible officials have been active.

In our last discussion with the staff at the building authority, all the employees present were NEW, and we had to introduce ourselves repeatedly. We got the impression that our first names led to a biased attitude toward us. We were spoken to as if we were incapable of following the conversation either linguistically or cognitively, while the staff communicated completely normally among themselves. We found this extremely disrespectful.

This is the SEVENTH development area we are working on. However, it is also the first and last development area in Rheda-Wiedenbrück. Several personal conversations with the mayor have led to NO RESULT. It seems as though Rheda-Wiedenbrück does not need a development area.

We are trying to create AFFORDABLE housing, but as a small business owner, it is impossible in this city. Our emails receive NO response; during the few return calls, we were promised prompt replies. But for months NOTHING happens. Our city planner has now refused to continue working with the city of Rheda-Wiedenbrück. In our attempt to find a new city planner in the region, we have so far only received rejections, as even they do not want to work with the city of Rheda-Wiedenbrück.
