Historical localities include Neue Welt and Pöhlwinkel. The A 72 motorway runs in the northeast of the municipal area. The town of Lengenfeld lies on Federal Road 94, which, north of the Schönbrunn district, connects at junction 9 (Reichenbach) with the A 72. Lengenfeld has a train station, and the district of Irfersgrün has a stop on the Zwickau–Falkenstein railway line.
