Public transportation to the main train station takes about 20 minutes; connections to the Universities of Dortmund and Bochum are very good – by car, each takes approximately 15–20 minutes, and by bicycle about 35–45 minutes.

There are existing upper floors that you can renovate if you prefer a different style. Additionally, there are two small shower rooms plus one toilet in the basement (which also includes a room).
