• For students, trainees, or those with a net income under €2,000, a guarantor is required (rental default guarantee, or have the rental agreement registered under both the parents’ and tenant’s name).

• Please understand that I cannot respond to every inquiry; this is in no way personal—it’s simply due to the very large number of applicants!

• In reality, it’s a 1½-room apartment because the spaces are not separated (except by the staircase), but I cannot list it that way in the ad. In terms of feel, it’s more like a 2½-room apartment! Downstairs: entrance area, bathroom, and an open kitchen with a living room. Upstairs: a second living room with a loggia (i.e., balcony) and an “upper level on stilts” (this level is not included in the square meter calculation, so it actually adds extra space. The previous tenants even slept here, thereby gaining more space in the other two rooms).

• Experience shows that the ad will only be online for a few days—so it’s best to save a PDF of the information in case the ad goes offline.

• Please include plenty of details about yourself—what you study, what your job is, whether your parents might be willing to sign the rental agreement, whether you might have a guarantor, etc.
