In less than a five-minute walk, you reach the green beach and the water. Here, during high water, swimming is possible within a time window of 3–4 hours (access via fixed stairs into the water). A free buoy bath with DLRG supervision is also located in the bay. The sandy beach and harbor can be reached on foot in about 20 minutes. The spa park and the pilots’ quarter are also within easy walking distance.
In the immediate vicinity, there are bakeries, a pharmacy, restaurants, and other shops, as well as the bus stop "Emmastraße." For example, lines 1006/1007 run to the train station, downtown, or even to Döse or Dunen leading to the sandy beach.
