• Building: The building was constructed in 1972 using some historical elements from an 1835-built farmhouse (oak wood double portal, bell tower door, wooden roof purlins, ceiling beams, columns) and has been completely renovated in recent years. Bathrooms, heating, water pipes, floor coverings, as well as most walls and ceilings have been refurbished and given a bright, homely style. The windows have been replaced and updated to contemporary standards, making all rooms friendly and most very bright.
• Heating: An 11.9 m² thermal solar system supports the production of domestic and heating hot water, so that little heating is necessary during the shoulder seasons. In addition to the new gas heating, a modern wood chip gasifier heating boiler using firewood was installed in the large ground floor living room as an alternative heating method. With a 70-liter water jacket, it heats the whole house via the central heating system. Thanks to the double combustion of the exhaust gases, excellent emission values are achieved. A viewing window radiates a pleasant atmosphere in the room.
In order to keep the flow temperature as low as possible and thus save energy, triple plate radiators with a large surface area were installed throughout. In the lower living room and the study, underfloor heating is additionally provided.
On the upper floor (ancillary apartment) there is a tiled stove (approved as a “emergency stove”).
An additional winter door saves energy and increases security against break-ins.
