Hanau is located close to nature with direct S-Bahn connections to Frankfurt/Main Airport and to the central cities of the Rhine-Main area such as Wiesbaden, Darmstadt, Offenbach/Main, and Frankfurt/Main.

Hanau itself is known for attractive shopping opportunities, a functioning infrastructure (bus, train, as well as a hospital, schools, and kindergartens), and plenty of space for art, culture, and gastronomy. One of the key focal points in downtown Hanau is the market square, which is directly served by a bus stop right at the doorstep. The market square is also known and popular beyond the region due to its weekly and Christmas markets.

Hanau – characterized by the confluence of the Kinzig and the Main, the castle residence, and its unique charm by the Main – is a modern, cosmopolitan city with high leisure value. All shops and service providers for daily needs are within walking distance. A bus stop is almost directly in front of the house. Along the Kinzig, you can quickly reach Hanau Hospital on foot (25–35 minutes) or by bicycle (10–15 minutes). The city center/market square is accessible in about 15 minutes by bicycle and in 10 minutes by bus. The motorway connection (A66) is about a 5-minute drive away, the A3 feeder in about 10 minutes, and the Frankfurt crossroad in roughly 35 minutes. All types of schools and kindergartens are available in the surrounding area.
