Your future home was originally occupied for the first time around 1940.

In 1972, a rear extension was added, which brought two additional rooms, an attic expansion, and a cellar.

A few years later, space was made for a car by expanding the building to include a parking space.

Some time afterward, a detached garage with a cellar was added.

After the garden door, you will find a rock garden on the right-hand side. To the right, the garden already begins with a large boulder standing upright.

After entering the house through the nearly new front door, you find yourself in the ground floor hallway.

After barely ten kilometers, you will be in the district town of Regen.

If you continue your journey, after just under 30 kilometers you will reach Deggendorf (a university town and regional center) located on the Danube.

Should you ever feel like visiting a big city, from Zwiesel it takes a 180-kilometer drive to reach the state capital Munich. The university towns of Regensburg and Passau are even closer to you.

You can reach all your destinations via well-maintained roads (B11, B85) or highways (A92 and A3).

If you prefer to travel by train, the Zwiesel junction station (the “Zwiesel Spider”) provides you with comfortable connections in every direction (to Regen, Plattling, Landshut, Munich; the border station Bayerisch Eisenstein; Bodenmais, and Grafenau).

The Zwiesel region is renowned for its glass art and the artisanal and industrial glass production. In addition, there are now several industrial companies in Zwiesel and the immediate surroundings.

In the Bavarian Forest, it is quiet, beautiful, and the cost of living is low. Many tourists share this view, and over many years they have remained loyal to us—and often even settled here permanently.

As you might imagine, tourism is therefore an important economic pillar.

Should you ever fall ill and require assistance, Zwiesel offers four pharmacies, several physiotherapy clinics, a hospital, dentists, and many resident general and specialist physicians.

If you wish to shop, you have a choice of local butchers, delivery services and bakeries, as well as numerous supermarkets and discount stores (Lidl, REWE, Aldi, Penny, Rossmann, Netto, two Edeka stores, Norma, and Real).

If you have school-age children, they can attend the desired school directly in town.

Everything is there and everything works. However, it is noticeable that the house has been unoccupied for some time.

Due to the fact that the house is older, for example, the bathroom no longer meets current aesthetic standards (or does it now again?). But you can still heat, use the toilet, shower, or bathe.

All windows close properly and, with proper maintenance, will continue to do so for a long time. Some of the windows are also made of plastic.

To improve the appearance, you would need to refinish a wall in the basement. In the basement room accessible from the outside, we mostly stored firewood, so the appearance of the wall did not bother us.

Another basement, unfortunately, has a low ceiling height. Unfortunately, that cannot be changed.
