The transport connections—highway A10, train, bus, even boat transport—are well developed. The Potsdam region, Berlin, and even the airports are quickly accessible. By train, you are in about 10 minutes at Potsdam’s main station or in 30 minutes at Berlin Zoological Garden.

Other opportunities such as a music school, sailing school, sports clubs (including tennis, cricket, karate, motorsport, cheerleading, badminton), a golf club, polo grounds, a regatta or water-ski course, riding stables with horse boarding, yacht harbors with berths, the Bonhomme stud farm, and many more are available in Werder or the immediate surroundings.

All types of schools, a Waldorf school with kindergarten, an upper school center, and several kindergartens are also located in Werder. Soon, the Hoffbauer Foundation’s education campus with two schools, a kindergarten, and a gymnasium will be built.

Werder an der Havel, known as the “Blütenstadt” (City of Flowers), with its historic old town is a state-recognized spa town and, according to the German Weather Service Potsdam, one of the cities in Germany with the most sunny days per year. The city area is surrounded by numerous lakes and the Havel.

Berlin, Potsdam, and Werder are connected by the Havel with many lakes. The city is in the immediate vicinity of the world-famous Potsdam Cultural Landscape, right at the doorstep of the vibrant metropolis of Berlin.

Our lake areas and the Havel enable many sports: sailing, motor boating, windsurfing, water skiing, wakeboarding, paragliding, boat rental, chartering, fishing, and much more.

Among the many available amenities are the Blütentherme (swimming and bathing fun with a wellness area, sea sauna, etc.), a harbor promenade, and additional marinas with extra berths currently under construction.
