The former typical Finkenwerder fisherman’s house was extensively modernized in 2012 and 2024 and now offers a unique maritime residential character. During the renovation, the building’s original charm was preserved. Floors, stairs, and windows are made of natural oak wood, which complements the historic roof timbers. The house is situated in the second row behind the dike in the old Finkenwerder town center, characterized by a friendly and helpful neighborhood. In the immediate vicinity, there are smaller mostly historic houses and the Elbdeich. The office buildings of the suppliers, located around the Airbus plants, can be reached on foot in just a few minutes. Similarly, the Airbus plants themselves, the riverbank with a view of Blankenese and the Rüschpark, as well as the Finkenwerder town center, are easily accessible.

The bus connection to the ferry slip is just a 2-minute walk away. With the HVV Elbfähre (Elbe ferry) you travel directly to the Landungsbrücken and from there onward to Hamburg Central Station or the airport. Finkenwerder is also well connected by car via the A7.

Alternatively, the HVV ferry at Rüschpark, which can be reached in a 5-minute walk, takes you to Teufelsbrück. From there, buses go to the airport and to Altona or to S-Bahn Line 1.

Finkenwerder has a very high recreational value due to its direct connection to the countryside, the riverbank at Rüschpark, or the Elbe beaches on the other side of the river near Blankenese.
