Dohna is the second oldest town in the Free State of Saxony. It is located in the Sächsische Schweiz-Osterzgebirge district and is the seat of the Dohna-Müglitztal administrative community. The town of Dohna is situated about 15 km southeast of Dresden and south of Heidenau, at the entrance to the Müglitztal, serving as the gateway to the Osterzgebirge.
