In the nearby town of Weißwasser you will find various shopping options, medical care, a savings bank, restaurants, etc. Children from young families attend primary school in the neighboring municipality of Sagar and then either the secondary school in Krauschwitz, 4 km away, or the high school in the town of Weißwasser. In Krauschwitz, 2 km away, there is a large pool paradise and adventure world. The spa and park town of Bad Muskau with its UNESCO World Heritage site, Fürst Pückler Park, can be reached in 5 km.
