The Metzelthin Forester’s House was purchased by us in 2005 and renovated and refurbished until 2006. In the main building, all floors, windows, some of the doors, and all installations (electricity, gas, water) were renewed, and the apartments were rebuilt according to our ideas.

The house has 2 floors, with the habitable area being approximately 200 square meters. On the ground floor there is a large living room (approximately 45 sqm), a large combined living and kitchen area (approximately 30 sqm), a utility room with toilet and guest shower, as well as a pantry.

On the 1st floor there is a small storage room, the bathroom with shower, bathtub, 2 washbasins and a toilet, a guest room, 2 smaller rooms, and a large bedroom. Here, the sloping ceiling begins at about 1.30 m.

In the guest section there are 3 fully furnished holiday apartments.

The large apartment on the ground floor is approximately 90 sqm, with a large living room, 2 bedrooms, a kitchen, and a bathroom with shower, washbasin, and toilet. This apartment has direct access to the guest garden (approximately 2,000 sqm).

On the upper floor there are 2 holiday apartments of about 45 sqm each: each consists of a large sleeping/living area with an integrated kitchenette, a small bathroom with shower, washbasin, and toilet. On the 1st floor here, the sloping ceiling starts at about 1.30 m. The small holiday apartments are reachable via an external staircase. The entrance to the apartments is via a small balcony.

Additionally, there is a side building on the property with garages and the dog school. The building of the dog school was also refurbished and renovated. The dog school features a large storage/meeting room and 2 toilets in the basement, and on the 1st floor there is an office, a large seminar room (approximately 70 sqm) and a toilet. The dog area is fenced in. The access is located behind the neighbors’ properties.

High-speed internet (fiber optic) is available but has not yet been activated.

The roofs are in need of renovation.

On the property there is old tree stock, for example, 6 old lime trees directly in front of the house that surround a paved area. A vegetable garden was established a few years ago and is still being cultivated.

We rent out holiday apartments and pitches for motorhomes to people with dogs. The pitch can be separated by a gate, and the guest section is separated from the private area by a high hedge, a fence, and a gate.

Metzelthin is a small village that is part of Templin, in the district of Klosterwalde. The Metzelthin Forester’s House is situated on the lightly traveled road towards Gandenitz, right by the forest.

Templin is about 15 kilometers away. Here you will find the town hall, doctors, a hospital, shopping opportunities, the MultiCultural Centre, as well as schools, day care centers, restaurants, and cafés. The surrounding area offers many opportunities for leisure, culture, and sports.
