Památkově chráněný funkcionalistický dům na rohu Arbesova náměstí a Zubatého právě prošel kompletní rekonstrukcí, která mu po sto letech vrátila lesk.
Náš byt je ve čtvrtém patře a jako jediný v domě má přímý vstup na rozlehlou terasu orientovanou na západ. Velkorysá okna z menšího a velkého pokoje směřují na terasu a na sever do ulice Zubatého. Okna z koupelny a kuchyně vedou na balkon do ulice a díky vyššímu patru poskytují úplné soukromí.
V našem bytě jsme v maximální míře zachovali funkcionalistické prvky. Poškozené původní obklady jsme doplnili prvorepublikovými kachlíky, vestavěné skříně truhlářsky repasovali, podlahy vyčistili a do předsíně vrátili červené marmoleum.
Na předsíň navazuje samostatné WC, koupelna se sprchou a volně stojící vanou, spíž s pračkou a dostatek úložných prostor. V kuchyni je indukční deska, trouba a myčka, u vstupu domácí telefon a do bytu je zavedený optický kabel. Z kuchyně s jídelním stolem se francouzským oknem vstupuje na balkón.
Menší pokoj je zařízený jako pracovna a ve větším je sofa a manželská postel s výhledem na Petřín. Funkcionalistické zařízení jsme doplnili výtvarnými díly našich oblíbených současných autorů.
V domě je výtah, v blízkosti se nachází frekventovaná tramvajová zastávka Švandovo divadlo nebo Arbesovo náměstí. Nedaleko je Kinského zahrada.

The listed modernist house on the corner of Arbesovo náměstí and Zubatého has just undergone a complete renovation (facade, windows, installations, common areas), which has brought back its shine after one hundred years.
Our apartment is on the fourth floor and is the only one in the building with direct access to a spacious west-facing terrace. The generous windows of the smaller and larger rooms face the terrace and north towards Zubatého street. The windows of the bathroom and kitchen lead to a balcony facing the street and, thanks to the higher floor, provide complete privacy.
In our apartment, we have preserved the original elements to the maximum extent. Damaged original tiles have been replaced with tiles from the First Republic period, built-in cabinets have been refurbished by a carpenter, the floors have been cleaned and we returned there the red marmoleum.
The entrance hall leads to a separate toilet, a bathroom with a shower and a freestanding bathtub, a pantry with a washing machine, and plenty of storage space. The kitchen is equipped with an induction hob, oven, and dishwasher, there is a home phone at the entrance, and the apartment is connected to an optical cable. The kitchen with a dining table leads to the balcony through French window.
The smaller room is furnished as a study, and the larger room has a sofa and a double bed with a view of the sunlit Petřín hill.
We have complemented the First Republic furnishings with paintings by our favorite contemporary artists.
The building has an elevator, and nearby is a busy tram stop at Švandovo divadlo or Arbesovo náměstí. The park Kinského zahrada is just around the corner.
