Our holiday homes, newly built in 2018 from solid block logs, are designed in the Alpine chalet style and each features a block log sauna and a wood-burning stove, both visually and technically up to date. The houses are approximately 75 sqm each, accommodating up to 5 people. The large panoramic windows are oriented toward the Erlebnisberg (Bocksberg).

Our 6 block log houses are 6 detached houses, all constructed from solid block logs. All the houses are built on stilts, similar to the traditional log houses found in Austria and Switzerland – a unique feature in the entire Harz region. With the exception of the color scheme, the interiors are nearly identical.

Our log houses are furnished in a trendy mix of styles that is both modern and cozy.

Living/Dining Area per Block House:

A comfortable living area with a wood-burning stove, along with an open kitchen featuring a spacious dining area for 5 people, ensures high comfort and moments of relaxation.

Our block log houses are located directly on one of the most beautiful hiking trails in the Harz, right by the forest at the end of the village in a cul-de-sac. They are very quiet yet still centrally located.

The centerpiece in Hahnenklee is Rathausstraße with its cable car, the Erlebnisberg "Bocksberg", as well as the numerous restaurants, shops, and the supermarket. The town center is only about 400 meters away from our houses – close yet not noisy.

This year alone, another summer and/or all-season toboggan run has been opened, which will attract even more guests to Hahnenklee.

The overnight stay figures speak for themselves: In 2022, Hahnenklee recorded approximately 450,000 overnight stays, and around 480,000 in 2023.

Since 2012, we have been renting out log houses/log cabins or chalets in the Harz and have naturally built up a base of regular guests. Already booked periods can, of course, also be transferred.

After years of experience with both large and smaller log houses and chalets in the Harz, we have found that smaller log houses offer a significantly higher return on investment and can be rented out much more easily than larger holiday homes that are farther from the town center.
