The house was built in 2019/2020 using a diffusion-open, monolithic solid construction method. The garden is designed as a natural garden with vegetable beds and offers a valuable oasis for birds and insects.

Features:

High-quality larch wood casement windows, sliding panels, traditional interior doors with hand-forged fittings, and a handmade wooden roof gutter create a stylish, feel-good atmosphere. Nothing is off the shelf – everything was planned individually for the house.

Walls & Plaster:

Finished with traditional, handmade marsh lime plaster and natural clay. The facade as well as parts of the interior walls have been elaborately limewashed in a traditional manner – completely natural, mineral, and without any artificial additives or chemicals.

Consistently Sustainable & Organic Building Materials:

The sturdy exterior walls are made of clay bricks as well as materials such as clay blocks, sheep’s wool, untreated wood, and a wood chip-clay mixture. The house is completely free of foils and adhesives. Under the foundation, high-quality glass foam gravels and glass foam panels were used for insulation.

Floors:

Throughout the house, massive and untreated mountain spruce boards from Austria were installed.

Heating & Building Technology

Wall Heating:

The house is equipped with a high-quality wall heating system made of copper registers, which delivers efficient, healthy, and cozy radiant heat.

Wood-Burning Stove:

The wood-burning stoves in the living rooms provide cozy winter evenings in both apartments.

Hot Water & Energy:

Hot water is efficiently heated by a gas boiler (liquefied gas) and solar panels. In addition, free solar heat is provided from the south by opening the inner casement window sashes.
