Our holiday homes, newly built in 2018 from solid log planks, are designed in the Alpine chalet style, each featuring its own log sauna and a wood-burning stove; both visually and technically, they are state of the art. Each house is approximately 75 m² in size and accommodates up to 5 people. The large panoramic windows are oriented toward the adventure mountain (Bocksberg).

Our 6 log houses are 6 detached homes made from solid log planks. All houses are built on stilts, reminiscent of the traditional log houses in Austria and Switzerland – a unique feature in the entire Harz region. The furnishings, aside from the color scheme, are almost identical. Our log houses are furnished in a trendy mix of styles – modern yet cozy.

Living/Dining Area per Log House:

A comfortable living area with a wood-burning stove, along with an open kitchen featuring a spacious dining area for 5 people, provides high comfort and moments of relaxation.

Our block-log houses are located right on one of the most beautiful hiking trails in the Harz, directly adjacent to the forest at the end of the village in a cul-de-sac. They are very quiet yet centrally located.

The focal point in Hahnenklee is Rathausstraße with its cable car, the adventure mountain “Bocksberg,” as well as the numerous restaurants, shops, and supermarket. The town center is just about 400 meters from our houses – close by, but not noisy.

With an altitude of approximately 600 to 750 meters above sea level, the village is one of the most snow-safe places in the Harz.

Hahnenklee is a holiday resort in the Harz that, thanks to significant investments in recent years, this year, and in the coming years, has become one of the biggest tourist magnets in the Harz. Just this year, an additional summer—and even all-year—toboggan run has been opened, which will attract even more guests to Hahnenklee.

The overnight stays speak for themselves: in 2022, Hahnenklee recorded around 450,000 overnight stays, and in 2023 around 480,000 overnight stays.

The takeover of our homepage, as well as our Instagram and Facebook pages (Harzblockhaus) with over 2,200 followers, can also be transferred. This will greatly simplify further marketing. Since 2012, we have been leasing out log houses/log cabins or chalets in the Harz and, of course, have established loyal guests. Already booked periods can naturally also be taken over. After years of experience with both larger and smaller log houses and chalets in the Harz, we have found that smaller log houses offer significantly higher returns than larger ones and rent out much better than larger holiday homes that are farther from the town center. The focal point in Hahnenklee remains Rathausstraße with its cable car, the adventure mountain “Bocksberg,” as well as the many restaurants, shops, and the supermarket.

For example, with us you can purchase 2 complete log houses with a demonstrably very good yield for €750,000 and not end up with the famous “buying a pig in a poke.” After purchase, you can either rent out your log houses yourself directly or have the rental completely managed by us.
