Your Room
A bright 21 m² room is offered on the first floor of a fully renovated historic building from 1900, with first occupancy following the renovation in 2025/2026. You will be the first to move into the apartment and form the shared flat (WG), as no one has ever lived here before. Your room features high, period-specific ceilings of approximately 2.80 m, a refurbished period interior door, new triple-glazed windows, and high-quality vinyl flooring. The electrical installation is completely new, with a modern switch system and its own LAN connection; fiber-optic internet is provided throughout the apartment via a media distribution cabinet. Heating is supplied by a modern radiator connected to the central heating system.
The Apartment
The shared flat offers approximately 90 m² in total for three people. Like the two rooms of your future roommates, your room is accessible separately from the hallway – there is no through-room. Instead of having a kitchen in the living room, there is an independent eat-in kitchen as a common area: It features a brand-name fitted kitchen with an induction hob, oven, dishwasher, and a large refrigerator with a separate freezer, along with space for a large dining table serving as the WG’s meeting point. The balcony is accessible from the kitchen.
The modern daylight bathroom is equipped with a rain shower featuring a glass pivot door partition, spacious bathroom fixtures, a wall-hung toilet, a heated towel rail, and electric ventilation. Hot water is provided locally by an electric instantaneous water heater installed in the apartment.
The approximately 8 m² large shared balcony faces the quiet, sunny courtyard side and will be installed in autumn 2026 as part of the facade insulation work. Until the balcony is handed over, the rent will be reduced proportionally according to the balcony area.
During the 2025/2026 renovation, all utility lines for heating, water, electricity, and media were renewed. LED spots provide lighting in the hallway, kitchen, and bathroom, and at the door, an intercom system with a pre-wired connection for video functionality awaits. Facing the street are triple-glazed noise-insulated windows, while the courtyard-facing rooms are already quiet due to their location facing the inner courtyard.
The Building
The staircase has been renovated and is currently being finished with high-quality coconut fiber flooring and motion-controlled LED lighting, expected to be completed by mid to late July 2026. The apartment includes a lockable basement storage room with electricity and lighting, which will be handed over once the facade work is complete and will be available for shared use by the WG. The newly redesigned inner courtyard offers a green area, bicycle parking, and waste separation; additionally, five car parking spaces on the property can be rented separately. In autumn 2026, the street and courtyard facades will receive a complete external thermal insulation composite system (ETICS) with a new entrance door system—during this phase, scaffolding can be expected temporarily. The anticipated energy efficiency class is between B and C; the energy certificate will be provided after the renovation is complete, and the energy source is gas.
The apartment is centrally located in Berlin-Köpenick, just a few minutes’ walk from Schloßplatz and the historic old town. Tram and bus stops are right at the door; by tram you can reach the Köpenick S-Bahn station with the S3: Ostkreuz in about 13 minutes and the main station in about 30 minutes directly via Alexanderplatz and Friedrichstraße. At Ostkreuz, you can transfer to all ring lines as well as regional and long-distance services. By car, you are minutes away from the A117, which connects to the Berlin Ring Road (A10); Berlin Brandenburg Airport (BER) is approximately a 20-minute drive or accessible via S-Bahn.
Daily life conveniences are directly across from the apartment: an Aldi and the Allende-Center with Rewe, pharmacy, drugstore, post office, bank, bakery, and over 30 other shops and service providers. Along Müggelheimer Straße you will find cafés, bakeries, and small stores, and in the Köpenicker old town there is a weekly market. The DRK Clinics Berlin-Köpenick, an academic teaching hospital of the Charité, are also nearby.
Of interest for students and professionals: the HTW Campus Wilhelminenhof, HU Campus Adlershof, and the WISTA innovation center are all within short distance by public transport. For relaxation, the Köpenicker old town with its castle and island can be reached in a few minutes by tram or bike, and Müggelsee, the Dahme riverbank, and Müggelberge—one of Berlin’s largest leisure areas—offer an outdoor swimming pool, cinema, restaurants, cafés, and cycling and walking paths along the water.
This is a new formation—you will be the first to live in the apartment. The other two rooms will be rented separately to your future roommates. We are seeking relaxed, reliable people, both students and professionals, preferably in a mixed group.
