Hello,

We are currently looking for a fourth person for our shared flat in the center of the old town, close to the marketplace.

The apartment is located on the first floor of a beautiful old building.

Your room is on the south side of the apartment, has two large windows, and overlooks the Neckar Island and the Abbey Garden.

The room stays cool in the summer and warms up well and evenly in the winter. With French shutters, you can regulate the amount of light very well.

Since the apartment is in a half-timbered house, you’ll have no luck finding right angles. The floor and everything else is a bit skewed ;-).

The only downside of the room is that it is located behind the bathroom. This means you always have to go through the bathroom to enter or leave your room. However, with opaque shower curtains, this isn’t a problem. We always knock when the bathroom door is closed before walking through.

Because the door to the room is thin, you can hear someone showering. An anti-noise mat is available if that becomes a disturbance. It has never really bothered me.

By the way, the toilet is a separate room attached to the bathroom.

If desired, the furniture can be taken over for a small additional fee.

The kitchen is fully equipped including a dishwasher, has a gas stove and oven, and is large enough for game nights. There is plenty of storage in the kitchen, and we also have a separate storage room for additional food supplies, stocks, and other household items.

The bathroom features storage space, a shower tray, and a top-loading washing machine.

In the basement, there is space for larger items such as tables, bicycles, winter/summer sports equipment, and other items. We also have a small south-facing garden with a view of the Neckar, which we share with other residents of the house.

Currently, there are three of us in the apartment – two men and one woman.

Ulli (m, 28) studies medicine, enjoys board games in his free time, likes bouldering, and travels extensively around the world.

Aleks (m, 32) studies archaeology. In his spare time he likes sports, for example, kendo, and is diligently learning German.

I (f, 40) work in a restaurant.

In my free time, I enjoy spending time in our garden, hiking, painting, watching series, or playing computer games.

We are a sociable flatshare; loud gatherings/parties are not common.

The apartment is a non-smoking apartment.

We do not have our own parking spot at the house, but residents can apply for a parking permit with the city and park in the surrounding area.

Location

The flatshare is located right in the middle of the old town at the foot of Schlossberg. It is on the hardly trafficked Neckarhalde. Despite being in the old town, it is very quiet. You can reach the marketplace in one minute.

It's a 5-minute walk to the nearest bus stop.

The train station is 10 minutes away.

University is 15 minutes away.

The outdoor pool is 15 minutes away.

Flatshare Life

There are 3 people living in the flatshare.

We are between 32 and 40 years old.

Flatshare life is very pleasant because we get along well and are considerate of each other.

The apartment has a large kitchen with a dishwasher where we sometimes spontaneously share a meal or drink coffee together.

There is also a separate storage room where we keep cleaning supplies and food, etc.

The house also has a small garden that invites you to relax.

We also have a cleaning schedule, of course.
