The house is located near the town center yet only a few meters from the water of the Havel. Within walking distance (approximately 60 meters) you will find a waterfront promenade with water access that invites you to swim or relax.

Within just a few minutes on foot, you can reach doctors, pharmacies, supermarkets, restaurants, schools, and public transportation such as buses and trains. By bicycle, you can easily reach the University of Potsdam or the Science Park in Potsdam-Golm. The transportation connections—including motorway A10, train, and even bus routes over water—are well developed. The surrounding area of Potsdam, as well as Berlin and the airports, can be reached quickly. By train, you are about 10 minutes away from Potsdam’s main station or 30 minutes from Berlin’s Zoological Garden station.

Additional offerings such as a music school, sailing school, sports clubs (including tennis, cricket, karate, motorsport, cheerleading, badminton), a golf club, polo riding facilities, a regatta or water-ski course, riding stables with horse boarding, marinas with berths, the Bonhomme stud farm, and much more are available in Werder or the immediate surrounding area. All types of schools, including a Waldorf school with a kindergarten, a high school center, and several kindergartens, are also located in Werder. Soon, the Hoffbauer Foundation’s education campus will be established, featuring two schools, a kindergarten, and a gym.

Werder an der Havel, known as the “Blütenstadt,” with its historic old town is a state-recognized recreational area and, according to the German Weather Service Potsdam, one of the cities in Germany with the most sunny days per year. The city area is surrounded by numerous lakes and the Havel river. Berlin, Potsdam, and Werder are connected via the Havel and many lakes. The city lies in the immediate vicinity of the world-famous Potsdam cultural landscape, right on the doorstep of the vibrant metropolis of Berlin.

Our lakes and the Havel offer many sporting opportunities: sailing, motorboating, windsurfing, water skiing, wakeboarding, paragliding, boat rental, charter services, fishing, and much more.

Among the many available amenities are a Blütentherme (offering swimming and bathing fun with a wellness area, lakeside sauna, etc.), a harbor promenade, and additional marinas with extra berths currently under construction.
