The foundation of the small inner-city house with a rural character was most likely laid in the 18th century. Building upon the old floor plan, we have lovingly renovated and modernized the house from the ground up—with many details—in consultation with the monument preservation office. With appropriate planting, the courtyard can be transformed into a low-maintenance place of relaxation, which also invites friends and family for barbecues.

Upstairs, there are two large bedrooms with ceiling heights of up to 5 meters, along with a study/guest room. Thanks to the already prepared connections, this room can easily be converted into a second bathroom. The bedrooms are finished with high-quality wood planks, which lend the house its historic character. The first floor is built in wood construction with modern insulation and is bright and inviting due to its numerous windows. Additional storage is provided by the attic rooms on the first floor as well as a storage room on the ground floor.

The house is located in the listed historic center of Gransee, yet it is only a few minutes from the train station, with hourly connections to Berlin. You can enjoy the tranquility and beautiful scenic surroundings of the Mecklenburg Lake District while being able to reach central Berlin in a good half hour. The old town of Gransee is dominated by the late Gothic church described by Fontane, featuring an 18th-century organ renowned even beyond state borders, and it is an ideal starting point for the various venues of the Brandenburg Cultural Festival. The nearby Geronsee, like the rest of the surrounding area, invites you to hike, jog, and walk. In the town itself, all necessary educational and healthcare facilities such as schools, kindergartens, supermarkets, and doctors are largely within walking distance. Various excursion opportunities such as the Ziegeleipark Mildenpark, the parachute airfield, Meseberg Castle, or Stechliner See—which is also appreciated by divers for its clear water—are in close proximity.

The windows are particularly high-quality, double-glazed Meranti wood windows. A new solid wood staircase leads to the first floor. The complete renovation was overseen by a local architect with a great feeling for the property and carried out by specialist companies from the region.
