I am advertising my 4.5-room house here for a commission‐free sale because it is wonderful for retirees or as a second residence for urban dwellers seeking relaxation. Families will also feel comfortable, as there is a school bus to the next village. The kindergarten is 300 m away. The 4.5‑room house is located in 79725 Laufenburg, Vogelsang 10 in a very quiet, idyllic setting with an unobstructed view into a new single‑family home development. You can reach the bakery in 300 m, and the shopping center—with many super discount stores, doctors, a pharmacy, a bank, Obi (a hardware store), and a gas station—is 4 km away. There, too, is the customs office for Switzerland. Both communities are called Laufenburg; the Rhine River is the border to Switzerland. The house is situated in the Hochsal district, and the church bells are silenced at night.

The house was built in 2010 using solid construction with Liapor blocks and insulated with insulating material. The Liapor blocks are 17.5 cm thick and the insulation is 12 cm thick. The Liapor blocks not only provide excellent insulation against cold and heat, but these blocks also insulate very well against sound – as can be noticed in the rooms of the house when a TV or radio is running, it cannot be heard in the adjacent room. You can also choose your bank freely; there is no mortgage on the house, as I, the owner, must repay another loan in Swiss francs.

Holiday guests have often given ratings of 10 out of 10 points and appreciated the wonderful house and nature. Once, guests from Cologne came and praised the fresh air. That made me realize that in big cities, the air is not always clean. Viewings are possible on short notice, and I am happy to answer any questions.

The house is located on a gentle slope, and in 2017 I had the garden made easier to maintain. I had a pathway created between the two seating areas and a terrace roof installed, so that both seating areas are covered. This path was created with two garden slabs, each 40 cm wide (thus 80 cm in total width), ensuring that you have a path wide enough for a stroller or walker.

The vacationers who spent the most wonderful days of the year in this house were all happy about the tranquility and relaxation they could enjoy. There are very nice neighbors – when I was not allowed to cross the border for three months in 2020, the neighbors watered the plants and mowed the lawn. I was very grateful.

The house had only one toilet when I bought it, so I had another WC installed in the utility room. The washing machine is a combination device (wash/dry).

There is a rainwater tank; you can water the plants with rainwater or spray down the seating areas. There is a powerful pump in the water tank that I purchased new about 3 years ago. The stone insulation covers the entire ground floor ceiling, so I had to add extra insulation for the workspace in the attic under the roof. When guests arrived with an outside temperature of 30 degrees, I offered a cold air fan, but in the well‑insulated house, the vacationers did without the fan.

If you want to travel towards Freiburg, it is best to head into Switzerland at Eiken (about 12 km) onto the highway towards Basel and then, at Rheinfelden, take the branch towards Germany, where you can travel on to Freiburg. The annual motorway vignette for CHF 40 can be arranged online; since that option became available, I no longer have any stickers in the car.

In Switzerland, an industrial area has been developed about 12–14 km away. The communities of Eiken, Sisseln, Münchwilen, and Stein belong to the Sisslerfeld – that is the name of the industrial area. It is estimated that up to 15,000 jobs will be created in a few years. Lonza is building and has already hired employees.
