Ellerau is a municipality in southern Schleswig-Holstein with approximately 6,100 inhabitants. It is about 27 km to downtown Hamburg. The Quickborn junction of the newly expanded A7 motorway is about a 5-minute drive away. This allows you to quickly reach Hamburg Airport, the Arena, Volksparkstadion, or downtown Hamburg by car.

The AKN (local railway) can be reached in about a 5-minute walk and runs between Neumünster and Hamburg. The expansion of the railway line to the Hamburg S-Bahn is currently well underway. Completion is planned for 2028.

Shopping opportunities (Aldi, Edeka, dry cleaners, pharmacy) as well as a community practice are reachable in about an 8-minute walk.
