Your Room

For rent is a bright room of 21 m² on the 1st floor of an old building from 1900, which was completely renovated in 2025/2026. This is a genuine first occupancy: You will be the first to move in and help establish the shared flat from the very beginning, as no one has lived in this apartment before. The room impresses with lofty original ceilings of approximately 2.80 m, a refurbished original interior door, new triple-glazed windows, and high-quality vinyl flooring. The entire electrical system has been renewed, including a modern switch setup and its own LAN connection. Fiber optic internet is distributed throughout the apartment via a media distribution cabinet. A modern radiator connected to the central heating provides warmth.

The Apartment

In total, the shared apartment covers about 90 m² for three people. Like the rooms of your two future flatmates, yours has separate access from the hallway—there are no connecting rooms. Instead of a kitchenette in the living room, the apartment offers an independent living kitchen as a communal meeting point, equipped with a branded fitted kitchen including an induction hob, oven, dishwasher, and a large refrigerator with a separate freezer compartment, as well as ample space for a large dining table. The kitchen leads directly onto the balcony.

The modern daylight bathroom is equipped with a rainfall shower behind a glass swing-door partition, generous bathroom fixtures, a wall-hung toilet, a heated towel rail, and an electric ventilation system. Hot water is provided by a decentralized electric instantaneous water heater.

The approximately 8 m² communal balcony faces the quiet, sunny courtyard side and will be installed in autumn 2026 as part of the facade insulation work. Until the balcony is handed over, the rent will be reduced by the proportional amount for the balcony area.

As part of the full renovation in 2025/2026, all supply lines for heating, water, electricity, and media have been completely re-laid. LED spotlights illuminate the hallway, kitchen, and bathroom, and a video-capable intercom system is installed at the apartment door. On the street side, triple-glazed soundproof windows have been installed, and the rooms facing the inner courtyard are naturally quiet.

The Building

The renovated staircase is currently being finished with high-quality coconut fiber flooring and motion-activated LED lighting, with completion expected between mid and late July 2026. The apartment includes a lockable basement storage room with electricity and lighting, which will be jointly available to the flatmates and handed over after the facade work is completed. In the newly designed courtyard, you will find a green area, bicycle parking, and waste separation facilities; additionally, five parking spaces on the property can be rented separately. The street and courtyard facades will receive a full external thermal insulation system (ETICS) with a new main door installation in autumn 2026, during which time scaffolding may be present. The prospective energy efficiency class is expected to be between B and C, and the energy certificate will be available after completion of the renovation; the energy source is gas.

The apartment is centrally located in Berlin-Köpenick, just a few minutes’ walk from Schloßplatz and the historic old town. Tram and bus stops are directly at the door, and by tram you can quickly reach Köpenick S-Bahn station with the S3: in about 13 minutes you reach Ostkreuz and in about 30 minutes you can get directly via Alexanderplatz and Friedrichstraße to the main train station. At Ostkreuz, you can transfer to all ring lines as well as regional and long-distance trains. By car, you can reach the A117 leading to the Berlin Ring A10 in just a few minutes, and the airport BER is approximately a 20-minute drive away; alternatively, you can take the S-Bahn.

For everyday needs, everything is located directly opposite: an Aldi and the Allende Center with a Rewe supermarket, pharmacy, drugstore, post office, bank, bakery, and over 30 other shops and service providers. Along Müggelheimer Straße, cafés, bakeries, and small shops line the street, and the Köpenicker old town offers a weekly market. The DRK Kliniken Berlin Köpenick, an academic teaching hospital of Charité, is also within short distance.

Especially appealing for students and working professionals: HTW Campus Wilhelminenhof, HU Campus Adlershof, and the WISTA innovation campus are all within a short distance via public transport. For relaxation, the Köpenicker old town with its castle and castle island invites you to unwind, just a few minutes away by tram or bike. Additionally, Müggelsee, the Dahme waterfront, and the Müggelberge rank among Berlin’s largest recreational areas, featuring an outdoor pool, cinema, restaurants, cafés, as well as cycling and walking paths along the water.

The shared flat is being entirely newly established, and you will be the first to move in. The two other rooms will be allocated separately to your future flatmates. We are looking for reliable, relaxed people, whether students or professionals – a mixed composition is explicitly welcome.
