From September 1st, a room in a shared apartment in the beautiful old town of Mainz will be available! With a room size of just under 26 m² and a proportionate share of the communal area (37.42 m²), the base rent is 550 €; an additional 126 € covers operating costs, plus electricity, internet, and the broadcasting fee (GEZ). As in many shared apartments, there is a one-time deduction for the already existing kitchen, appliances such as a washing machine or refrigerator, and furniture in the communal areas (more details to be discussed in person with one of the residents).

The three-person flatshare currently consists of two young women. For future shared living, the residents hope that the experience will be harmonious and uncomplicated. Mutual consideration is important, as are a sense of responsibility and tolerance. The weekly rotating cleaning schedule has always worked well when it comes to cleanliness, and so far the household expenses have always been split fairly. Discriminatory and conservative-right ideologies have never had a place in our flatshare, and that is intended to remain the case.

The lovely apartment is located in the Mainz Altstadt between Schillerplatz and the Kupferberg Terraces. The location in Mainz couldn’t be any better! Public transport connections are excellent. The Schillerplatz stop can be reached on foot in under five minutes. The main train station is also just under ten minutes away. The journey to the university takes about fifteen minutes by tram, and the city center (Domplatz) is within walking distance. Right around the corner, there are plenty of shopping options (Rewe, Penny, Netto, Alnatura, and many more). In addition, there are various bars, cafés, and restaurants directly nearby. And although you live right in the middle of the city with all these options in the immediate vicinity, the apartment is situated on a very quiet side street with little traffic.

The apartment consists of a large, fully equipped kitchen (including a dishwasher), two bathrooms (one with a shower and one with a toilet), a storage room, a total of three rooms for the flatshare, and a sunny balcony overlooking the Kupferberg Terraces. All the rooms in the apartment are very bright and are equipped with blinds for darkening. The available room is the largest of all and has access to the balcony. In total, the apartment covers approximately 98 square meters. A real moving-day helper is the elevator in the stairwell. In the inner courtyard, there is the opportunity to park bicycles safely and under cover.
