Qualified care of the residential complex is provided by AWO – Augsburg with an in-house care office. A 24-hour emergency call system is available in the apartment. In-home care up to care level II is possible.

Behind your terrace, there is a small garden area exclusively for you, enclosed by a beech hedge. In a raised bed you can plant something if you wish, although it’s not obligatory—the hedge and lawn will be mowed for you. This way, you still have a small, intimate outdoor space all to yourself.

In addition to the prime location and a short connection to the city center, this new residential area offers a beautifully landscaped park with quiet oases for relaxation. Moreover, this varied and popular neighborhood features shopping opportunities and cafés in the immediate vicinity.

All living spaces are equipped with parquet floors and wide interior doors. Large windows with electric shutters ensure bright rooms with a lovely view of the outdoors. A controlled ventilation system in every apartment ensures fresh air and, together with the underfloor heating, contributes to low heating costs. The entire complex is being built as a KfW Efficiency House 70 (in accordance with EnEV 2009). The bathrooms feature spacious walk-in showers and provide space for a washing machine and dryer.

All apartments are designed with seniors in mind, allowing for threshold-free and barrier-free living.

In our assisted living complex in Sheridan Park, the “AWONIA Gesellschaft für Wohnen und Pflege im Alter mbH” will take over the care of the residents. AWO is a recognized non-profit organization and, as a subsidiary of the Workers’ Welfare Association, operates the senior center “Christian-Dierig-Haus” in Augsburg-Pfersee on Kirchbergstraße. This ensures that the available resources can be optimally utilized for all residents. Furthermore, in our development project, AWO operates a centrally located care office that is staffed at fixed times. A qualified, permanent point of contact with social care training is available here to offer you advice and support.

As part of the basic services and the monthly care flat rate, the caregiver provides assistance through, for example, 24-hour emergency readiness and a designated contact person with fixed office hours in the building. Support includes help with dealings with authorities, mediation and organization of services (such as foot care, physiotherapy, hairdressing, laundry, house cleaning, shopping, medications, etc.), an apartment key holding service, and organization of assistance in case of illness or upon discharge from hospital.

The monthly care flat rate for a one-person household is €112. This fee includes the on-call emergency service and the in-house emergency call system, including equipment rental.

The care service also takes on the mediation, coordination, and arrangement of the following optional services provided by AWO:

• In-home medical and elderly care

• Administration of medications

• Household management services

• Securing a day care spot at the Christian-Dierig-Haus

AWO guarantees all owners and tenants of our assisted living complex prioritized admission to the residential care facility in the senior home “Christian-Dierig-Haus” in Augsburg-Pfersee on Kirchbergstraße.
