The largest green space near the town center is the Peace Park, which was created from a disused cemetery around 1890/1891.

Approximately 4 kilometers from the town center is the municipality of Dittersbach, which, together with its district Neudörfchen, forms the Frankenberg district Dittersbach. The Lützelbach River flows through the town, emptying into the Zschopau south of Sachsenburg. North of Dittersbach run Federal Highway 169 and the A4 motorway, which can be reached within a few minutes by car, thereby ensuring excellent transport links to the surrounding cities.
