► A house we designed and built ourselves

In 2020/21, we built this timber house here in Markt Indersdorf, investing a great deal of time, thought, and passion. We made every decision ourselves—from the construction method to the positioning of the windows.

► Wood you can feel

We deliberately chose timber-frame construction and natural materials—and you notice the difference every day. Wood absorbs moisture and releases it again: the air is not as dry in winter or as humid in summer. The walls also feel noticeably warmer than brick or concrete because wood does not draw heat away from the body as quickly. This indoor climate was our top priority when building the house.

► Every room in the right place

We spent a long time considering the floor plan before the first excavator arrived. The lively spaces—the kitchen, dining area, and living room—face south, where they are filled with light throughout the day. We deliberately placed the rooms intended for rest and privacy in the cooler, quieter parts of the house, ensuring that every room is ideally suited to its purpose.

► Two terraces and a private garden

One terrace is directly accessible from the dining room, while the second adjoins the living room—together, they offer 25.5 m² of outdoor space. Beyond them lies a garden of around 90 m² for the exclusive use of this apartment. It is the perfect place to unwind after work—or soak up some sun while working from home.
