Assisted living is the ideal solution for enabling senior citizens to live independently while receiving the support they need. A professional home care service is available to provide advice and practical assistance whenever necessary. Our modern, spacious apartments are part of the new “Im Ilmenautal” residential complex in Bad Bevensen.

The fully renovated former hotel contains a total of 18 one- or two-room apartments measuring up to 55 m². Each apartment has a kitchenette equipped with a two-ring hob, sink, storage space, and refrigerator. Each apartment also has a bathroom with a modern, accessible shower. Residents can relax outdoors on either a balcony, patio, or roof terrace, all conveniently accessible from the living area. In addition to the laundry room, the basement also contains spacious storage rooms that are easily accessible by elevator. Visitors can be received and group activities can be held in the lounge and on the adjoining sun terrace. There are five parking spaces directly in front of the building, which can be equipped with electric charging stations. Electric vehicles can be parked and conveniently charged here.

Bad Bevensen, the renowned iodine brine spa town, is conveniently located within the Hamburg–Bremen–Hanover city triangle. The gently rolling countryside surrounding the only mineral spa in the Lüneburg Heath is characterized by extensive forests, small areas of heathland, and the water-rich natural landscape of the Ilmenau Valley.

Bevensen has held town status since 1929, and the spa resort has been known as “Bad” Bevensen since 1976. Following the development of the thermal iodine brine spring in 1968 and the construction of the spa center, a spa district with hotels, clinics, and rehabilitation facilities emerged in the 1970s.

An extensive spa park and pedestrian bridges across the River Ilmenau connect the spa district with the historic town center. The spa center and spa park thus form a link between the “old” district around the Church of the Epiphany and the pedestrian zone, and the “new” Bad Bevensen with its hotels and guesthouses.

**Health**

Bad Bevensen has been officially recognized as a mineral spa since 1975. The resort is aimed at people who want to do something for their health and maintain their physical fitness in peaceful, wooded surroundings. The extensive spa park in the heart of the town is the starting point for walks, for example to nearby Medingen Abbey.

The iodine brine thermal baths, with their spacious bathing facilities, wide range of saunas, and wellness oasis catering to every need—the Spa & Vital Center—are at the heart of the town’s health and wellness services.

**Culture**

Culture enthusiasts can enjoy the varied program of events at the Kurhaus or the classical music series held at Medingen Abbey.

**Festivals**

Regional festivals such as the Pottery Market, Town Festival, Heath Potato Festival, and Marksmen’s Festival, as well as the regular LandArt and antiques markets held every Sunday during the summer months, delight local residents and regularly attract many visitors to the town.

The tasks that an outpatient care service can perform are as varied as the people we care for. Read all about our services and find out how we can assist you and your family in everyday life.

**1. Emergency call system**

Each tenant receives an emergency call device that can be used to contact a control center staffed day and night whenever necessary. This center provides or arranges emergency assistance 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. The emergency call service includes receiving emergency calls, initiating the necessary assistance measures, and maintaining the tenant’s personal data.

**2. Information and advice**

Qualified staff are available to tenants as points of contact for questions concerning everyday life, available assistance, and their housing situation. Assistance is also provided with applications for long-term care and health insurance benefits. The relevant contact person and telephone number will be announced by means of a notice posted in the building and an information sheet.

**3. Arrangement of services**

If required, the care provider can also arrange special personal or social assistance and services. These services are not included in the basic services and must be paid for separately by the tenant.

**4. Meeting areas / communal rooms**

Communal rooms are available for use by every tenant. By prior arrangement and subject to availability, tenants may reserve and use suitable rooms for special occasions such as birthdays, other celebrations, or events. Individual use is included in the basic services and is free of charge.

**5. Recreational activities / health promotion**

The care provider offers opportunities to participate in regular cultural, informational, and health-promoting events. As a general rule, these events are included in the basic services. If a separate fee is charged in individual cases—for example, for excursions, special courses, or similar activities—this will be indicated separately or announced in good time.

**6. Optional services**

- Arrangement or provision of nursing and care services (services pursuant to Book XI/Book V of the German Social Code—provided by third parties and covered by long-term care insurance or home nursing care);

- Housekeeping package;

- Service and support package;

- Meal package;

- A varied lunch menu.
