Additionally, the street is crossed in an X-shape from southwest to northeast by the S-Bahn track (S6) towards Friedberg. The area west of the rail lines consists mainly of green and wooded areas. Modern development has extended southwards and southeastwards in the direction of downtown Frankfurt. Ginnheim has merged urbanistically with the districts Eschersheim to the north and Dornbusch to the east. To the west, separated by the Ginnheimer wooded area and the Volkspark Niddatal, are the districts Hausen and Praunheim. Heddernheim is located northwest of Ginnheim, separated by the Nidda.
