Qualified care of the residential complex by AWO – Augsburg with an in-house care office. A 24-hour emergency call system is installed in the apartment. Care in your own home up to care level II is possible. In addition to your apartment, a large communal room on the ground floor is available for celebrations, events, and coffee gatherings. Behind your terrace, there is a small private garden area enclosed by a beech hedge. In a raised bed, you can grow something if you wish, but you don’t have to—as the hedge and lawn will be mowed for you. This way, you still have a small intimate outdoor space all to yourself.

Besides the preferred location and a short connection to the city center, this new residential area offers a beautifully landscaped park with peaceful oases for relaxation. Furthermore, the varied and popular residential area features shopping opportunities and cafés in the nearby vicinity.

All living areas are fitted with parquet floors and wide interior doors. Large windows with electric roller shutters ensure bright rooms with a beautiful view outside. A controlled ventilation system in every apartment provides fresh air and, together with the underfloor heating, keeps heating costs low. The entire complex is constructed as a KfW Efficiency House 70 (according to EnEV 2009). The bathrooms feature spacious walk-in showers and offer room for a washing machine and dryer.

All apartments are designed to be senior-friendly, enabling step-free and barrier-free living.

In our assisted living complex in Sheridan Park, the "AWONIA Gesellschaft für Wohnen und Pflege im Alter mbH" will take over the care of the residents. The AWO is a recognized non-profit organization and, as a subsidiary of Arbeiterwohlfahrt, operates the "Christian-Dierig-Haus" senior center in Augsburg-Pfersee on Kirchbergstraße. This ensures that the available resources can be optimally utilized for all residents. In our development project, AWO also runs a centrally located care office staffed during fixed hours. A qualified, permanent contact person with training in social care is available here to offer advice and assistance.

Within the framework of the basic services and the monthly care flat rate, the caregiver supports you by, for example, providing 24-hour emergency readiness, acting as a fixed contact person with set consultation hours on site, assisting with administrative matters, and mediating and organizing support services (such as foot care, physiotherapy, hairdresser, laundry, apartment cleaning, shopping, medication, etc.), managing an apartment key holding service, and organizing help in the event of illness and upon discharge from the hospital. The monthly care flat rate for a one-person household is €112. This flat rate includes on-call readiness and the home emergency call system, including equipment rental.

The care service includes the mediation, coordination, and arrangement of the following optional services from AWO:

 • Home nursing and elderly care

 • Medication administration

 • Household support

 • Securing a day care place at the Christian-Dierig-Haus

AWO ensures that all owners and tenants of our assisted living complex receive priority admission to inpatient care at the senior home of the "Christian-Dierig-Haus" in Augsburg-Pfersee on Kirchbergstraße.
