The building, a former INTERMAR Hotel, is located right on the picturesque Dieksee in the Hosteinische Switzerland region. Dieksee is famous for its 5-lake tour.

There are ample opportunities for hiking and sports such as swimming, tennis, canoeing on the Schwentine and on the lakes right outside the door. Several Kneipp pools are located by the lake in the forest and in the shaded spa park, which was designed in the 1960s by a renowned architect. There are bathing platforms in front of the building. A forest swimming pool is open from May until the end of September.

The game park with free-roaming animals is an event for both young and old. The Baltic Sea is reachable within 20 minutes by car. Malente's train station is just a few steps away, providing quick access to Kiel/Flensburg, Lübeck/Hamburg/airport. In 5 minutes by train you can reach Eutin – the Schlosspark, castle, library, exhibitions, a large market twice a week, excellent restaurants and cafés, the Eutin Festival, a cinema, and more.

In Bad Malente there are many shopping opportunities, supermarkets, doctors, 2 banks, pharmacies, and during the summer, many wonderful events for guests and residents (concerts, swimming events to the island in Dieksee, cultural lectures and guided tours, a Christmas market in the spa park, etc.).
