Bendestorf is located about 25 kilometers south of the center of Hamburg and has approximately 2,500 inhabitants.

The community boasts an excellent infrastructure and is considered one of the most beautifully situated places in the southern catchment area of Hamburg.

Nestled between the “Klecker Wald” nature reserve on one side and the meadow landscapes along the Seeve on the other, Bendestorf offers abundant nature and has the character of a holiday resort.

The village has developed organically with spacious, upscale buildings and features excellent local amenities including a variety of shops and medical practices.

The leisure options available through local clubs are diverse. In the immediate vicinity there is also a large equestrian center, two golf courses, a tennis facility as well as football fields and the very popular heated outdoor pool.

Transportation links to the metropolis of Hamburg are very good: By car, it takes about 30 minutes to the center, and the Klecken train station – with its large parking areas – can be reached in less than 10 minutes.
