Norden (in East Frisian Platt, Nörden) is a town in the Aurich district in East Frisia in the northwest of Lower Saxony. It is located not far from the North Sea coast and is the northwesternmost town on the German mainland.

The residents of Norden are called Norder (in Plattdeutsch, Nörder). The adjective is the same, for example, Norder Rathaus (Norden City Hall).

Norden is one of the oldest towns in East Frisia. In 2005, it celebrated the 750th anniversary of its first documentary mention. It is the main town and namesake of the historical region Norderland and, with 25,179 inhabitants, the fourth-largest town in East Frisia.

The region around Norden is predominantly characterized by agriculture and tourism. The town boasts nearly 27 kilometers of dike lines and, in the district of Norddeich, a ferry port with connections to the nearby islands Juist and Norderney.
